C# Developer

Description:

The C# Architect and technical lead will be responsible for the overall technical requirements, development, framework and architecture of our next generation of client/server, middle layer and cloud based applications. The candidate will be required to work with cross-functional and remote development teams throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with offshore team developers to guide and develop best in class web applications

• Perform code reviews

• Lead the development of complex programs spanning multiple teams across the organization

• Provide technical oversight to the development process including reviewing the technical design, frameworks and the deployment architecture

• Research, identify and introduce new technologies, patterns that can elevate the platform

• Develop proof of concepts to quickly identify gaps and technical challenges prior to development

• Provide technical guidance to offshore developers to help build effective engineering practices and grow their technical skills

• Be the go-to expert for technical solutions within the team’s development responsibilities

• Assist troubleshooting issues both in house and at customer sites (remotely)

• Work closely with the firmware and hardware teams

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or related fields

• 12 years of experience programming in C /C# required with at least 5 years leading programmers through the entire SDLC in an Agile environment

• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and .net 3.x/4.x required

• Experience developing SOAP/RESTFul Web Services required

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Selenium or similar development and test tools required

• Willingness to learn other programming languages (i.e. Java) and development technologies (mobile development) a must

• Willingness to learn serial communication with IoT devices over USB/BLE/IP a must

• Microsoft Solutions Architect certified or similar is highly desirable

• Experience in cloud applications and/or micro-services development on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform

• Experience and passion for working with diverse Agile development techniques: Kanban, Time Box Sprints, User Stories construct and estimation, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Continuous Delivery, Automated Testing and delivering best in class high quality products

• Experience with micro-services architecture, design patterns, cybersecurity, and frameworks with an eye towards scalability, automation, resiliency, high availability and user experience

• Understanding of architectural principles involved in SaaS and multi-tenant platforms highly desirable

• Experience with SQL databases, ODBC or similar

• Familiarity with network communication and debugging tools such as Wireshark or similar

• Responsive web design a plus
