Design Engineer

Description:

Position Summary:

To design and document turbochargers, superchargers and their components as produced or marketed by client. This includes the creation of original designs at client, as well as those received by the client.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Process Engineering Changes and Releases

Work with Sales and Supply Chain to monitor revisions of lots and update the ERP to match

Update drawings of turbochargers, superchargers and their components using a computer via 2D & 3D CAD.

Redraw IHI originals using U.S. formats and specifications.

Assign part numbers for production and prototype parts; maintain a logs part numbers and assemblies.

Receive and catalog IHI technical materials, drawings, and specifications in conjunction with the IHI liaison engineer.

Assign engineering change request numbers. Keep and maintain a log of proposed changes.

Generate engineering release notices and change notices.

Apply GD&T and be able to apply.

Complete tolerance stack ups on parts and assemblies.

Create designs using 3D CAD for customer packaging and product design.
