Aerospace DevOps Engineer Description:
We're searching for a DevOps Engineer with practical DevOps experience and scripting expertise to support software development programs in Chantilly, VA. The DevOps Engineer will design, implement, test, deploy, support and improve upon continuous integration pipelines and internal tools, and champion new technologies and industry standard toolsets in a fast-paced agile environment. A successful candidate for this position will be working as a member of evolving teams and must be familiar with shared ownership and flexible dynamic teams. DevOps Engineer will work closely with technical leadership, users, and other aerospace personnel to support growth in DevOps Engineering expertise, as well as championing DevOps practices.
Essential Functions:
The DevOps Engineer participates in an agile process team with multiple smaller flexible development teams that combine mature software practices and technology-supported development infrastructure. The DevOps Engineer will execute a full lifecycle agile workflow including daily SCRUMs, story grooming and bidding, and sprint execution. The DevOps Engineer will work with teams to implement new capabilities and mature existing capabilities using key enabling technologies and frameworks. DevOps Engineer will provide technical and methodological guidance in DevOps practices to the multiple independent teams, encouraging user engagement, shared ownership, and cross-cutting development across multiple smaller teams.
Aerospace experience is heavily desired but not required. If no aerospace experience, must have DOD experience.
