Description:
Mechanical drafter who will be able to perform process plant design layout and interconnections in autocad or inventor (design package is not important). Will work on P&IDs, plant design layout and interconnections of process equipment. Ideally will have worked in / have process design experience in a 3D CAD package.
This person will be converting project information (specifications, proposal information, data sheets) into drawings and other documentation for the fabrication team to produce a product / system). They will be creating or modifying the either new systems or making modifications to existing systems.
This position will work alongside Engineers in the design and production of drawings for various process equipment before and after installations.
- will work in collaboration with the engineering team to perform a variety of drafting and design assignments in connection with process P&ID, electrical and mechanical layout drawings.
-will be responsible for creating 3D pipe routes and piping Isometric drawings (a pictorial representation of an object in which all three dimensions are drawn at full scale)
-Will prepare material and equipment specification notes - will be responsible for the BOM's on the projects they are supporting
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-design, drafting experience - a 2 year degree is prefered but if they have been in the industry / working not a must have
-experience with isometric piping
-understanding of tolerances and limitations, and process flow is a plus
-experience with isometric piping
-experience with PID’s & PFD’s
