What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drafter position at Actalent?
Description:
- Interacts with the development, programmer, and manufacturing engineer to develop CAD models and engineering drawings to support the production of prototypes, final design, manufacturing, and quality specifications.
- Responsible for the creation of 3D computer aided design (CAD) software models and detailed drawings for development of products.
- Assists engineers with hands-on troubleshooting efforts from production, prototypes, and processes.
- Assists engineers with testing, process development/ process modifications and engineering documentation.
- Develops layouts, engineering drawings, detailed drawings and assembly drawings.
- Takes project from concept to production release.
- Performs maintenance of CAD files in response to engineering changes.
- Interfaces with other engineers to verify that data pertaining to product specification is documented accurately.
- Verifies that the appropriate linkages are established in the Product Data Management system when creating/modifying models and drawings.
- Prepares bill of materials for product implementation into production.
