What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drafter position at Actalent?
Actalent is looking for CAD Drafter to add to their team! This person will be responsible for the following:
Description:
- This drafter will be modifying existing mechanical and architectural models
- Most of the time this candidate will be working within AutoCAD
- Once trained on the products, the candidate will be transferring 2d AutoCAD models into the 3d design package, Revit
- Will not only be modeling the glass walls, doors, and related mechanical systems, but they will also be modeling rigs to test the glass products
- Produce shop drawings including layouts, elevations and details for architectural glass wall projects
- Collaborate with the Project Management and Field Operations teams daily
- Comfortably work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in a related industry, can work with someone currently enrolled in school as well.
- Experience with AUTOCAD or similar 2D CAD package
- Architectural design would be a plus
- Revit is strongly preferred, or other 3D package
