What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drafter position at Actalent?
Description:
A medical device company in Greater Grand Rapids is looking for a drafter to support in the revisions and updating of multiple drawings. The company manufacturers and designs surgical tables, surgical lighting and other cabinetry and equipment found in a surgical setting. Drafter will provide support updating 700 drawings within the pads that are placed on top of the surgical tables. Majority of time will be spent utilizing knowledge of AutoCAD and updating notes/call out symbols.
The three changes that are required to be updated on most/all of the drawings will be the Foam IFD density call out, seam used for cover symbol call out and cover material around foam call out.
- Update prints with given information on drawing, notes and symbols.
- Work with Tables Product Manager on what needs to be updated and make necessary changes.
- Update product drawings into control document (ERP).
- Understand BOM structure and maintain accuracy as prints are updated.
- May provide support within 3D CAD (Solidworks) updating other products they own design for.
