Mechanical Design Drafter

Job Description

Draft and revise detailed part assembly and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data in the field of mechanical engineering. Utilize computer-aided design software such as PTC/CREO, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Siemens NX. Incorporate redlines and revise drawings using standard engineering drafting practices and PLM. Determine scaling, inserts, necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning. Prepare specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations. Prepare complete production detail drawings and contribute design modifications to improve product quality or facilitate manufacturing operations.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Northridge, California.

Work Environment

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. Previous work experience in the Defense Industry is required.
