What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Project Engineer position at Actalent?
Description:
Looking for a Junior Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to support projects ranging from small studies to multi-million dollar turn-key supply. A successful candidate must be team-oriented, organized, able to communicate to all levels of the organization, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
70% of Role will be electrical specifications for selection (NOT actual CAD work but detailing out the design for part/equipment) specification
20-30% will be PLC Programming (Allen Bradley Studio 5000) & Office/Documentation type of work
An Ideal Candidate: someone that has project experience - example: new project comes in, can they define the scope of the work --> select appropriate hardware (components), what needs to be installed and where, and select appropriate plc software (Rockwell or Siemens) for the PLC programming. Then they would send off the work to an electrical CAD designer to design based on the specifications this person has given them. once designed, they would review the designs and verify.
No software (c or c#) , electrical design, or HMI Programming is needed for this role.
