Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Technician to provide engineering and build support for advanced manufacturing products, including nanomachining, laser-based, and cryogenic cleaning technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, testing, and troubleshooting complex sub and system level assemblies, and ensuring the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Build, test, and troubleshoot complex sub and system level assemblies.
- Build, setup, and debug mechanical and optical assemblies using mechanical prints.
- Build, setup, test, and debug pneumatic assemblies using pneumatic schematics.
- Build, setup, test, and debug electrical assemblies using electrical schematics.
- Assemble components with tolerances less than .001”.
- Provide and document timely feedback to Engineering on issues encountered during build processes.
- Perform and document incoming inspection of parts or assemblies to written procedures.
- Create or update manufacturing or quality documentation/procedures.
- Support engineering through system level troubleshooting.
- Perform installation of products at customer sites, both domestic and international.
- Perform and document final testing of the equipment.
Skills
- Minimum 4 years’ experience within mechanical or electronic assembly and testing
- Experience reading blueprints--Pneumatic and optical strongly preferred
- Knowledge of how to use calipers and micrometers
- Experience with Functionality Testing
- Experience with complex machinery assembly and testing
- Experience reading schematics and build sheets
- Electronic testing
- Experienced with Calipers/Micrometers
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Sales support and customer service skills
- Ability to document and communicate technical feedback effectively
Plus
- Experience with Soldering
- Able to build cables
- Experience in a manufacturing or build technician position in the semiconductor industry
- Experience with AFM and nanomachining technologies
- Demonstrated experience with MS Word & Excel
- Basic understanding of MRP systems
