Our manufacturing customer is looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer to lead product development efforts for their Connecticut facility.
This position is an individual contributor focused on supporting the electronic machine controls for new product development in welding machines, portable machine tools as well as high pressure testing applications. The engineer should understand product requirements and be capable of designing, testing, and validating a solution with the product development team members.
The engineer shall be able to work in a cross functional product development team to ensure all product features and functionalities are defined, designed, documented, and validated in meeting customer/market requirements with a focus on schedule as well as meeting project budgets. Day to Day Responsibilities:
Write control software for motor controls
Making modifications to exisiting firmware/software
Developing new software releases dealing with customer issues and product performance enhancements.
Search out replacement components due to the obsolescence of the original components.
Interface with product development team & clients to develop requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
BSEE degree or equivalent degree in Math/Sciences and extensive proficiency in software engineering. MSEE preferred.
5-10 years experience in software design (C preferred) in a manufacturing environment.
Familiar with working in a project-oriented environment capable of taking a project from concept to finished product as directed.
Desirable Skils:
Five Proficient in CAD programs (SolidWorks and/or Inventor preferred) and all Microsoft Office applications. oriented with a focus meeting deliverables.
Experience in digital and analog circuitry design
