Entry-Level Chemistry Lab Technician

We are currently hiring for an Entry-Level Chemist role in the north Dayton, Ohio area! This is a long-term career opportunity for someone who is looking to get their foot in the door and some experience in a regulated laboratory setting! This role will primarily be performing chemistry testing for baby formula and related products.

An ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in a scientific field with Chemistry or Food Science preferred. We would also be open to degrees such as Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, etc.

Description:

This role will be performing Quality Control testing on baby formula products to ensure that they are safe and meeting necessary specifications. This is a regulated laboratory that follows FDA and GMP regulations. Specific Duties may include:

• Collect samples including raw materials, finished product, process equipment and environmental.
• Test raw materials and finished products per cGMP requirements and participate in lab investigations
• Operate lab equipment for testing which includes, but may not be limited to:
  • Gravimetric Determinations
  • Percent Nitrogen
  • Ascorbic
  • Wet Chemistry 
• Participate in internal/external quality audits
• Maintain personal lab work area and assist with general lab cleaning
• Participate in training and development

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelors Degree in a scientific field.
