Job Title: Project Manager/Estimator - Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings & Commercial Construction

Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join our team at Actalent, with a leading general contractor specializing in pre-engineered metal building facilities and commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in project management and estimating, with a focus on accurately bidding on and managing construction projects in the pre-engineered metal building sector.
Responsibilities:
- Project Estimating: Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for pre-engineered metal building facilities and commercial construction projects, including material takeoffs, labor costs, subcontractor bids, and other project-related expenses.
- Bid Preparation: Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to solicit bids and pricing for project components, review bid documents and specifications, and prepare comprehensive bid proposals in a timely manner.
- Project Management: Oversee and manage construction projects from initiation to completion, including project scheduling, budget management, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and quality control.
- Client Relations: Cultivate positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders, and serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications and updates.
- Value Engineering: Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions without compromising project quality or performance.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring that project terms and conditions are favorable and in line with company standards and objectives.
- Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget effectively, and ensure that all parties are informed of changes and their implications.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with construction projects and develop proactive mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and financial impacts.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other project-related records.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in pre-engineered metal building construction and project management, and actively seek opportunities for professional development and improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management and estimating, with a focus on pre-engineered metal buildings
