Description:
Actalent is currently seeking several Field Service Mechanical Engineers for an Automation Solutions provider based out of Columbus, OH.
This company provides custom automation, repeat automation and a variety of automation products for the following industries: life sciences, food & beverage, transportation, consumer products, and energy.
The Automation Solutions provider has had a large influx of projects with their current clients and these Field Service Mechanical Engineer positions will be supporting the projects.
Initially these positions will be slotted as 2 year contract positions.
These positions will be working at customer sites in Spring Hill, TN, Detroit, MI and Ramos, Mexico.
-Be the liaison between their customers on-site and their design teams off-site
-Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in a customer facing role
-The ability to implement and troubleshoot engineering designs
-The ability to look at designs using CAD data (utilizing Solidworks) and be the problem solver on site
-The ability to diagnose and resolve installation malfunctions
-Assist with assembly and assist with project management on site
-The ability to travel for 2-3 weeks at a time. Ideally these candidates will travel to sites for 2-3 weeks, then 2 weeks home (Unless local to the area)
-Familiarity with pneumatic and electrical equipment
-Familiarity with automated assembly processes

Skills & Qualifications:
No degree required
- minimum of 3 years of field
service engineering or mechanical engineering experience is preferred Detail
oriented individual Knowledgeable with technical aspects of machines,
equipment, and technology used in industrial automation Strong communication
skills
-Ability to work additional hours as needed- current projected hours per week 50-60 hours
- Shift options 6am-3:30pm and 3:30pm-2am, must be open to at least 1 of 2 if not both
