Job Title: Quality Analyst I

Job Description

We are seeking an entry-level candidate to join our Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) team. The candidate will perform basic lab testing, working in three key areas after pulling samples from the plant floor: in-process testing (acid/salt tests and taste testing), pH/viscosity testing and titrations, and packaging/QA (checking labels and code dates, inspecting bottles for cracks and leaks, and weighing them). Key duties include collecting and testing samples of ingredients, products, or packages according to established procedures; monitoring processes to ensure correct and consistent operation; documenting all results neatly and precisely; labeling and maintaining product retention samples for shelf life monitoring; organizing collected data for management review; maintaining lab equipment in a clean and orderly fashion; communicating non-compliant results immediately to management; monitoring plant compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs); accurately weighing ingredients, colors, flavorings, and seasonings; testing R&D samples for food safety and specification development; and conducting other duties as assigned by the plant QA Supervisor or QA Manager.

This is a fully on-site position in Columbus, Ohio.

Work Environment

Food manufacturing facility with strong food smells all day long. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) includes steel-toed shoes, lab coat, gloves, and safety glasses. Employees will wear jeans and clothes they don't mind getting a little dirty.
