Description:
Responsible for drafting quality standards, conducting audits, evaluating production quality, advising management on ways to improve operations. This role promotes high quality standards and a culture of continuous improvement and ensures that the company’s quality standards are consistently maintained in the product.
• Responsible for the daily management and support of quality in operations as well as for the strategic planning.
• Support the implementation of food safety programs to ensure a food safe product.
• Help to coordinate plant activities and provides guidance through planning with cross-functional teams to ensure total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in alignment with quality standards.
• Monitor Quality Complaints and work with operation teams to reduce complaints.
• Proactively anticipate and recognize food safety and quality compliance opportunities, major performance trends, regulatory developments that could adversely affect food safety.
• Prepare and implement QA/Food Safety policies and procedures.
• Support the development and monitoring of HACCP plans and related food safety systems.
• Train and deliver programs to train employees in food safety and procedures.
• Assist in integrating food safety into new equipment, food procedures and products.
• Work with Maintenance on effective planning and monitoring production downtime and maintenance projects/PM's and shutdowns.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, Public Health, or related field required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Quality in a factory environment preferred.
