Description:
Report to R&D Manager Responsible for carrying out new product development Developing product samples Setting up tasting sessions Evaluating ingredients Prepare correspondence and quality assurance and technical service duties Product Development: prepare product samples in the lab (sauces, condiments and other products), revise product formulas, conduct lab analysis on samples including pH, NaCl, etc, prepare documents for QA and regulatory, set up sample sensory evaluation tests, prepare samples for shipment to laboratory for analysis, attend factory on-site test productions. Ingredient Evaluation and Documentation: search for new ingredients, procure samples and necessary documents, maintain filing system for new ingredients, maintain stock and replenish ingredients when needed. QA: Receive COAs from manufacturing facilities, evaluate retain samples, organize and maintain product retain samples and storage room, communicate with the factories and 3rd party laboratories.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Biology, Food Engineering Ability to operate various analytical equipment including lab scale, salt titrator, pH meter, refractometer, viscometer, Aw meter, moisture analyzer, Ability to use benchtop cooking kettles, beakers, flasks, pipets, graduated cylinders, thermometers, stirrers Must be able to lift and move samples, ingredients and documents Math skills- calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and percentages Ability to review technical documents and drawings. Strong communication skills - write reports
