What are the responsibilities and job description for the FPGA Engineer - Now Hiring position at Actalent?
Actalent is seeking an FPGA engineer with experience writing hyperdimensional algorithms where the math is used with the FPGA to process - not an FPGA field. The FPGA engineer will take part in state of the art image processing and exploitation algorithms for airborne imaging sensor systems and supporting a diverse portfolio of image and signal processing capabilities. The successful candidate will have a strong mathematical experience, experience with image processing algorithms, good programming abilities, and a desire to continuously improve and diversify their engineering skills.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another related technical field.
- 3-6 years of Register-transfer Level (RTL) design for FPGAs in VHDL or Verilog
- Experience implementing signal or image processing algorithms into FPGA fabric
- Experience with high-speed interfaces (ex. PCIe, CoaXPress, 10GbE) and DDR memory controllers
- Experience with Xilinx Zynq, Versal, or Alveo system design
Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills:
- C & MATLAB programming
- Python programming
- Mapping applications using Vitis HLS or Vitis AI
- Linux device driver development
- Bit accurate validation of complex designs against algorithm models
