What are the responsibilities and job description for the FSQ Manager position at Actalent?
Description:
QA-Food Safety Manager would oversee all employees including the managers in the plant with anything that relates to food safety, quality, sanitation and any related training. QA manager would report and have full support of the president of the company.
Primary initial drivers:
- Evaluate gmp, haccp, and food safety/quality plans currently in place to manage work flows, training, and QA/QC procedures. Upgrade as necessary to ensure FSMA and SQF compliance.
- Understand current baseline for SQF and FSMA compliance and implement any audit findings and corrective actions for continuous improvement.
- Upgrade and provide continuous support for QA and Food Safety systems to establish a value added level of quality standards to increase sales and revenue.
Daily oversight:
- Oversee production, sanitation, and documentation to ensure adherence to quality standards
- coach and support employees to maintain compliance and increase efficiency
- perform routine internal audits, client audit support, FDA, USDA, and other 3rd party audit support
- act as PCQI qualified individual and SQF Practicioner.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Scientific Discipline preferred
- 5 years in overall Food Safety and QA Functions where they have created new programs/procedures
- 1 Year in a Supervisory or management function in Food QA
