What are the responsibilities and job description for the GCMS Analyst position at Actalent?
We are urgently seeking a GCMS Analyst to join the team!
Job Description:
Analytical chemist running analysis of drinking water, water pollution, solid/hazardous waste, soil, water, and air samples. Utilizing GC/MS and GC on Atrium model.
• GC/MS Analyst needed for a Semi-volatile department (BNAs) to preform analytical evaluations on a sample matrices.
• Performs analytical evaluations by GC/MS Instrumentation for semi volatiles
• Sample matrices include: Aqueous, Liquid, Potable (drinking) water, Soil, Sludge, others as may be necessary per clients request
• Determine analytical results as generated by the analytical procedures
• Become completely knowledgeable in the instrument operation as used for the analytical procedure
• Become proficient in EPA methodologies and other analytical methods as may be necessary for the analysis of samples
Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in the sciences field (chemistry preferred)
• 1 years of experience using GCMS in the environmental industry
• Laboratory experience in the analysis of drinking water, water pollution, solid/hazardous waste samples or air samples.
