Core Responsibility:
Responsible for all aspects of physical operations related to the business focused on what technicians and consumers needs are, while coordinating effectively with Technology & Product teams.
The Head of Operations provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that TOD has the proper operational
processes in place to enable an effective business model, including user support, parts/ equipment delivery, effective in person market activations, trainings, and other operations that will be required to deliver a valuable offering. T his person will be tasked to deliver all operations effectively and efficiently, while being required to participate actively in the development of strategic plans to increase profitability, mitigate financial risks and increase economic value. Overall, this role requires a leader who will drives cultural and operational change in the organization.
Design and implement effective processes to support the venture’s activation at each stage of product delivery (POC, Alpha, Beta, MVP, Scale up)
Continuously review and improve processes (internally and externally) to identify opportunities to improve results and drive efficiency
Oversee core operations (ie , training, market activations, customer support) in concert with other Heads of the venture
Measure and make effective all processes internal and external. Provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company
Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization
Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics (NPS, lead time, seller experience, returns, cancellations)
Balance between building for speed to meet near term growth objectives and building for scale to meet long term, run rate growth
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Visionary and execution driven mindset with highly developed communications skills
Experience in managing geographically distributed teams preferred
Masters/Graduate degree in accounting, finance, economics, OR business administration
Establishing scalable blue collar operations e.g., Warehousing, delivery/sales teams
Experience in Finance, Ops or General Management fields
Strong leadership skills and the proven ability to drive organizational change
Fosters relationship with key leaders across all divisions in the business
Experience managing logistics, distribution, warehousing, support teams and people operations
Significant management experience in a digital native or start
up environment
Strong communication skills with ability to align the organization on complex technical decisions
Active coach and mentor whose goals are to grow and maximize the team’s potential
Proven track record of success in managing complex operations, driving organizational change, and
improving overall business performance
