Description:
**MUST LIVE IN THE STATE OF COLORADO**
Looking for a Mechanical Designer with Commercial and Revit skills to work for an MEP Engineering Consulting firm. 5 years’ experience needed. This person will be providing essential engineering duties for a variety of exciting high end and premier projects across Colorado. In this role, you will assume multi-project responsibilities for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and specialty piping system engineering and design for buildings including labs, healthcare, higher education facilities and other critical building types.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Revit
- 5 years experience in Mechanical Design
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Intermediate skill level in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Publisher
- Ability to follow direction and adhere to standards
- Critical thinker and problem solving
- Capable of prioritizing, thorough planning and organizing
- Highly motivated and self-starter
- Sense of teamwork and drive to learn from others
- Maintains focus of detail accuracy and thoroughness
The Position Responsibilities:
- Advanced design, drafting and CAD practices
- Analyze, design, and document mechanical systems—including HVAC, piping, plumbing, and fire protection systems—for a wide variety of project types and sizes
- Rationalize results and decision making
- Responsible for checking the accuracy of their own calculations and methodology
- Learn how to read: Architectural, structural and electrical drawings
- Complete understanding of best practices of piping and ductwork
- Selection of air devices, basic terminal equipment selection
