What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hybrid Utilization Management Associate position at Actalent?
Reputable healthcare company looking for Utilization Review Associates to join their Utilization Review team
Position will be REMOTE once you complete 3 weeks of in-house training in Wethersfield. You will be provided with equipment - just need to have the ability to work from home and good internet connection.
Description:
1. Monitors and manages assigned utilization management reports, including the Payer End of Day report, Utilization Management list, Discharge Log, and the Discharge Disposition report for payers
2. Monitors and manages assigned EPIC work queues
3. Updates EPIC with authorization and denial information
4. Provides the Clinical Resource Management Nurse with support for denials, appeals, and physician advisor communication
5. Retrieves, manages and/or triages department phone calls, voicemails, fax requests and Tiger Texts
6. Communicates with payers, case management, medical records, and other departments
Skills & Qualifications:
Background: MA (ideal), or CNA, Paramedic, or EMT
• Very familiar with Epic
• Utilization Management (or great computer proficiency)
• Prior authorization experience
• Accuracy when collecting data and charting
