In vivo Research Associate

The Associate Scientist will be a highly motivated individual who can work both independently as well as with others to support ongoing projects. The Associate Scientist is expected to make detailed observations, perform experiments, analyze data, and interpret results. Additionally, this position requires the implementation and performing of in vivo assays and technologies.This position is ideal for a researcher who is enthusiastic about learning and contributing to a broad range of projects.
Essential Duties:
- Perform a variety of different assays including, but not limited to in vivo assays (injections, dosing, etc.) and experiments, microscopy-based assays, tissue-based assays and to support various research endeavors
- Perform routine duties to support basic laboratory operations
- Participate in lab meetings, project meetings, and other meetings as necessary
- Oversee laboratory administrative work as needed
EDUCATION
Minimum Required:
- Bachelors (BA/BS) degree in immunology, biochemistry, pharmacology, biology, physiology, or related discipline
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required:
- 3 years of laboratory experience with hypothesis-driven in vivo research (post-degree)
- Ability to analyze and summarize data into presentations
- Excellent animal handling techniques (including mice, rats, rabbit, etc.)
- Experience with in vivo animal disease models (dosing, different administration routes, etc)
- Experience with tissue harvesting, handling, and preparation for subsequent analysis
- Excellent record and notebook keeping is required
- Experience with primary cell isolation and aseptic technique
- Experience with fluorescence microscopy
- Experience with skin models and/or immunology
