A leading DoD Prime is looking to add a skilled Information System Security Officer to their team, contributing to a large scale project to support the Defense industry!

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Pay: 135k-160k dependent on experience

Position Responsibilities:

You are primarily responsible for maintaining the cybersecurity posture and baseline of the deployed assets. You will provide feedback to the Cyber Operations Lead and ISSM and attend TIM meetings. You will participate in the coordination of system security and connection authorizations to systems. You will provide input to POA&M and RAR processes and memorandum of understanding/agreements. You will assist in providing status on site security posture, such as, IAVA compliance and NTO/JTO status. You must be a self-starting problem solver, capable of planning, coordinating, directing and controlling their individual projects, and possess the capability to work with limited supervision.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Must meet certification requirements of DoD 8570 IAT III (CISSP (or Associate), CASP CE, CISA, GCED, GCIH). You will be responsible to maintain DoD 8570 certification for the duration of employment.

Technical Skill Required:

• DoD Command and Control system experience to include system architecture, security engineering, and network engineering.
• Knowledge of modern computer systems, client/server, LAN/WAN and Network concepts, modern network management and monitoring concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux (RHEL) operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with security/vulnerability scanners, IDS, and network assessments.
• Strong working knowledge of IA concepts such as patch management, multi-factor authentication, host-based security, intrusion detection, security event management and defense-in-depth is required.
• Knowledge of POA&M and RAR processes.
• Knowledge of DoDI 8500.01, DoDI 8510.01, DoDI 8530.1, DoD 857.01-M, CJCSM 6510.01B and Risk Management Framework policies and requirements.
• Sound knowledge and practical experience to direct the assessment and development of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) and/or Operating Instructions (OIs) to effectively administer and provide cybersecurity standards under assigned area of responsibility.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel.
• Knowledge and proficiency in technical writing.

Other:

Position is primarily Monday - Friday, however after hours and weekend support may be required to meet operational mission requirements. Position is based out of the Schriever AFB with expected travel to both Beale AFB and Clear AFS, as needed to meet mission requirements.
