Lab Assistant

Job Description:

The Media Prep Technician plays a crucial role in preparing media for the sample prep team. These samples will be processed for pathogen testing as requested by clients. The testing includes, but is not limited to, food poisoning, pH, and bacterial testing.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare media for the sample prep team.
• Record samples for weight, time, and media used.
• Set up equipment and materials needed for analysis.
• Handle an Autoclave.
• Wash and fill racks with sterile tubes.
• Label and store samples.

Skills and Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), food service, or fast-paced collaborative work environment.
• Must have a high school diploma
• Effective time management and task prioritization skills are crucial.
• Strong work ethic and accountability.
• Candidates from Panera, Chipotle, and Starbucks have seen success in this role.
