Summary

• We have partnered with a leading clinical diagnostic company that provides medical and supportive care for patients and families with bleeding and clotting disorders. Their medical lab team is actively hiring Lab Techs. This is an awesome opportunity to join a great organization to expand on current skills, learn new testing methods, and instruments within the healthcare lab.

• As a Medical Lab Tech, you will be responsible in understanding and preparing, samples tests on 4 different analyzers. Perform diagnostic testing, perform reagent preparation, calibration and maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot, and validations, and sample identification/evaluation.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• - Under direct supervision by department leadership, lab tech performs diagnostic clinical and clinical contract research testing.
• - Prepare samples through sample management and test samples on 4 different analyzers for customer results.
• - Supports preparation of laboratory reagents and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• - Understands and performs to all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
• - Performs diagnostic testing, as scheduled (500-1,500 samples per analyzer in a given night) on one of 4 analyzers.
• - Supports sample management team with sample identification/evaluation, labeling, processing and centrifuging samples when there are high volumes of samples or decrease in tests needed
• - Performs reagent preparation, as scheduled, and support maintenance of reagent.
• - Operates, troubleshoots, and performs routine maintenance and calibration on equipment and may participate in validations (equipment is properly running).
• ** May release final results in accordance to training and compliance requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Have:

- B.S. Life Science (biology, chemistry, biochemistry, etc)

• OR Medical Lab Tech (MLT) schooling with ASCP certification or Clinical Lab Science (CLS) schooling
• Open to *New Grads* who have completed their 4 year degree with a Life Science degree

Nice to have:

- Human biological testing experience (blood, tissue, urine, etc)

- Blood banking experience

- Biology lab internship

- Experience with centrifuges, Spectrophotometer, qPCR Instrumentation, Gel Electrophoresis, Sequencer from academia or industry experience
