Description:
This company is distinguished ISO/IEC:17025 accredited calibration laboratory recognized for its commitment to quality since 1956. With a proud history of successfully meeting their customers' diverse needs, they have established themselves as a trusted expert in the field of metrology services. We are currently looking for a Pipette Technician to join the experienced calibration laboratory team.
-Test, clean, repair, reassemble, and calibrate pipettes to quality standards.
-The technician is responsible for completing calibration and repair services on various pipettes both onsite at customer’s facilities and in the lab located in Columbia, MD.
-Technicians are responsible for managing various work orders simultaneously and creating a schedule based on those work orders.
-Candidates should expect diversity in their daily and weekly schedules, pivoting when needed to fulfill urgent service calls or complete jobs due by certain dates.
-The ideal candidate should be comfortable multi-tasking, highly organized, comfortable taking apart and reassembling equipment, have basic computer skills, and feel comfortable interacting with different customers each day.
-Travel is required for this job, and at times will require flying to a customer site and staying overnight.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-Qualified applicants must have a strong work ethic.
-Experience in a laboratory environment would be beneficial but not required.
-Associate’s degree or higher is preferred but not required.
