Description:
The Lab Technician provides essential support to Quality by ensuring raw materials, intermediates and finished goods are tested and approved with proper paperwork in a timely manner. Lab Tech will be responsible for physical and organoleptic testing for quality control of flavors.
Test raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods. Tests include, but are not limited to:
Specific Gravity
Refractive Index
FTIR
pH
Melting Point
Taste Prep and analysis
Perform training of internal departmental personnel
Performs audits of manufacturing facility(s) including/but not limited to: Glass Inspections, Cooler Inspections, GMP audits of manufacturing and non-manufacturing areas.
Skills:
Chemistry, Laboratory, gmp, organoleptic, flavors
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Associates Degree minimum. Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or Biology is preferred. Chemistry Laboratory Experience, academic is acceptable.
Knowledge of basic wet chemistry procedures, pH testing, lab safety
Must be able to conduct organoleptic testing of flavors. No allergies.
