Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Description

• Processing lab samples • Diluting samples for ICP, running visual checks, and programming ICP computer • Running samples for FTIR, selecting correct reference oil, and establishing computer transfer of data • Completing visual notes on coolant, fuel, and oil samples • Assisting in running daily verification samples, handling rush samples, and maintaining lab equipment in good condition • Preparing and processing samples • Walking to pick up samples from various parts of the facility

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Aurora, Colorado.

Work Environment

Lab team has less than 10 people. The team leader values and stretches the team to keep them upskilled and engaged, without micro-managing. Dress code is very casual in the lab, but you must look pulled together and presentable. Close-toe shoes, jeans, and t-shirts are acceptable, but be aware that spills can permanently stain your clothing (a lab coat is provided). The job is very repetitive and is performed in a very industrial laboratory. The lab team works collaboratively, communicating constantly to meet sample deadlines. They process 900-1000 samples per day and consistently re-prioritize work to divide duties effectively, allowing the team to close the lab and leave on time at the end of the day.
