Description:
Land Survey Party Chief for a well-established Surveying & Engineering Firm.
Experience in property boundaries, topographic surveys, construction layout a plus. Experience with Carlson & field to finish is a major plus. If you prefer working in nature year-round instead of sitting at a desk, apply now!
Responsibilities Include:
- Performing survey measurements using GPS, total stations, and terrestrial LIDAR
- Electronically transferring field data to office computer systems
- Searching for and recovering ancient survey marks and other evidence of property lines
- Conducting land, title and ALTA-NSPS surveys
- Marking/staking property lines
- Performing topographic surveys
- Staking proposed buildings, roads, and other infrastructure improvements
- Performing wetlands surveys
Requirements:
- In-field experience is a plus
- Able to complete varied assignments from start to finish, with minimal direction
- Ability to work full time, year-round and outside
- Familiarity with Geomax/Carlson Total Station/GPS
- Able to work in various physically challenging environments on uneven terrain, and in hot and cold environments. Capable of walking and hiking with standard
surveying equipment.
- Good communication skills
- Clean driving record
- L.S. preferred, but not mandatory
Completion of assigned survey projects, including:
- Property (Land & Boundary) Surveys
- Topographic Surveys
- Property Stakeout
- Construction Layout (Roads, Buildings, etc.)
- Wetlands Surveys
- Terrestrial Lidar Surveys (Laser scanning)
- As-built Surveys
Monitoring adjustment, cleanliness and maintenance requirements of equipment including:
- GPS
- Total Station
- Terrestrial Lidar
- Data Collector
- Survey Tools and Equipment
