What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Software Engineer position at Actalent?
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As Senior Principal Software Engineer for the TCS Program, you’ll stand up and lead a cross functional team responsible for migrating the TCS Platform as a Service (PaaS) from K8s to RKE2.
We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: hands on Kubernetes/RKE2 experiences, comfort with PaaS installation technologies (such as Kubespray), and technical leadership experience.
What sets you apart:
Superior Red Hat Linux or CentOS Administration and deployment experience with a working knowledge of systems
Extensive professional experience with OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration/PaaS/Cloud technologies
Certifications: one or more of Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Admin (CKA), and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 10 years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 8 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
