Description:
LPN for allergy clinic. Triage work. Check in/Check out. Patient follow up. Can see up to 100 patients a day!
**Nurse will not be providing hands on injection care until completion of contract. Primary functions of the job while on contract is phone nursing, patient record review, and triage work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Maintains immunotherapy room with necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness.
-Observes, records and reports patients’ vitals and reactions to treatments.
-Assesses patient needs and suggests solutions to patient care problems.
-Maintains accurate patient records.
-Assures patient stays for required observation time after injection(s).
-Reacts appropriately in patient reaction situations; informs physician and/or other clinical staff as
necessary to mitigate adverse reactions.
-Demonstrates clinical competence and sound knowledge base in provision of quality patient care.
-Regularly interacts with physicians and other departments in order to identify and resolve
problems.
-Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate articles,
journals and related material; and by attending seminars and conferences, as needed.
-Responsible for reporting improperly operating medical equipment and instruments to supervisor.
-Responsible for following OSHA regulations.
-Maintains patient, employee and clinic confidentiality
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
LPN license, no specific field preferred
EMR skills required - any EMR system is fine!
