What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Engineer position at Actalent?
Job Description
- Provide guidance to skilled trades teams on all machine modifications, upgrades and alignment
- Pull CAD files, parts data, BOMs to formulate plan for machine rebuilds
- Oversee asset availability (average time to repair, time between failures), cycle times, preventative maintenance, predictive and condition-based monitoring technologies
- Use machine monitoring tools to identify constraints in the system and reduce and eliminate interruptions in production flow
- Work with outside vendors for tooling upgrades
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with maintenance planning and analysis
- Experience with tooling, retooling, repairs, and/or machine upgrades
- Diverse mechanical machine knowledge (CNCs, washers, conveyors, robotic arms, gantries, hydraulics, pneumatics, and some basic electrical)
- Use of analytic tools like a CMMS (plus)
- Experience aligning with Operations and making impacts for improved change
- Experience from a fast paced environment (Automotive is a plus)
