Description:
• Evaluate prints for cost estimating and quotation with experience in metal fabrication and stamping • Nest common materials for optimum density and efficiency in laser departments • Program press brakes with off-line software to maximize equipment uptime and reduce bottlenecks • Designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste. • Developing and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades. • Designing control systems to minimize costs and production issues. • Developing design and production standards in cooperation with management and user personnel. • Preparing material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses, and estimated production costs. • Reviewing production schedules, processes, specifications, and related information. • Work directly with production on streamlining new projects and implementing processes for best practices in efficient and quality in mind

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• 3 years work experience in a manufacturing environment. • Cost Estimating and quotation experience in metal fabrication and stamping • Ability to read/interpret drawings/instructions and prepare thorough and accurate estimates • Advanced knowledge of production equipment Lasers, Press Brakes, Stamping Presses • Stamping Die Design and Metal Fabrication knowledge • Die design of progressive, compound and manual transfer tooling • Proficient in 3D modeling software, ex: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, BySoft7 • Proficient in CNC programming software for lasers, press brakes and turrets • Computer knowledge and proficiency, including estimating software. (knowledge of E2 Shoptech a plus) • Troubleshooting skills with attention to detail. • Documentation and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft office and Cad programs • Sheet metal fabrication knowledge and shop floor experience in capital equipment background a plus • Excellent project management, people skills and written and verbal communication skills to build working relationships both internally and externally • Create routings, BOMs, and enter new part numbers into the ERP system • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings or technical drawings. • Evaluate scope of work/RFQ’s from customers and determine if suited for the company. • Read and analyze CAD files and prints to determine best method of fabrication and ensure manufacturability. • Source and price materials and sub-contract work as needed to prepare estimates
