Job Title: Process Engineer
Job Description
Seeking a detail-oriented Process Engineer to review customer opportunities and propose cost-effective optical solutions. The ideal candidate will develop and improve polishing and manufacturing processes in the production of precision glass optics using materials such as BK7, Zerodur, and Silicon. Responsibilities include root cause analysis, continuous improvement in a job shop environment, developing and supporting processes, creating work instructions for shop technicians, and initiating new and optimizing existing procedures. The role also involves contributing to design reviews, developing and approving engineering changes, coordinating parts procurement and prototype construction, designing and developing tooling and equipment, testing materials, and preparing reports. You will also collect and analyze information to provide timely reports to different users and management, ensuring manufacturing departments can take necessary actions.
