Job Title : Material Handling EngineerJob Description
- Serve as the design authority on projects related to batch plant design, construction, rebuild / repair projects, and batch plant audits.
- Engineer large material handling and material storage systems for bulk raw material used in cement, metals, masonry, and glass manufacturing.
- Supervise the work of the design team. - Assist in the development of project scopes and budgets. - Engineer material handling systems including belt-driven conveyors, bucket elevators, screw conveyors, pneumatic transport, vibratory conveyors, spiral conveyors, cullet handling systems, scales, and other material weighing systems.
- Engineer bulk material storage systems such as external silos or warehouse areas. - Conduct and develop design / layout drawings, fabrication drawings, material lists, and component / material specifications.
- Conduct batch plant / cullet system audits. - Develop scope of work documents and engineering material / construction estimates.
- Work directly with the client to identify requirements and process improvement opportunities. - Work in both imperial and metric measurement units.
- Conduct process utilization studies including time cycle studies and process control analysis to use as the basis of process upgrades and modifications.

Work Environment
In office Monday - Friday. Travel an estimated 25% to clients across the US, trips are usually less than a week at a time including travel days.
