Job Description
Currently seeking a Mechanical Designer to join their team. This Designer will support a variety of project types, including residential homes, apartments, condos, industrial, commercial, retail, restaurants, fire stations, religious facilities, and more. This person will work in an office of 10 engineering professionals, with guidance and leadership from experienced engineers and designers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist engineers in the design process by developing plans, developing sections and elevations, redline markups, and evaluating shop drawings
- Perform calculations, size equipment/piping, BIM clash detection and resolution
- Work both independently and with team members on design projects, including inter-discipline coordination
- Provide oversight, training, and mentoring to less experienced designers
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience designer HVAC systems
- Must be proficient with AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Revit is preferred
