What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Drafter position at Actalent?
Description:
Combination of product, tooling and equipment drawings and revisions to preexisting drawings. Producing system models and manual measurement of actual parts with limited instruction using CAD systems. Assisting in the training and continued instruction of new drafting personnel on CAD systems and department procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to detect and correct discrepancies in drawings and designs.
- Create "Bill of Materials" tables for assembly and schematic drawings.
- Create parts and "Bill of Materials” using Agile PLM
- Check in and manage CAD files in SolidWorks PDM on a daily basis.
- Check drawings made by other drafting personnel.
