What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineer II position at Actalent?
Description:
We are looking for a mechanical design engineer with 5 years of custom machine design experience. This candidate should be able to make custom designs using Solidworks per customer specification. The average day for this person will be deigning 80-90% of the day and executing on the project they were assigned. The average project length is 3-6 weeks. Ability to apply practical application of engineering principles, procedures, materials, and equipment to design projects.
Qualifications:
- BSME is required
- Ability to spend 80%-90% behind a desk doing design work
- Cradle to grave machine design (not product design experience). Will be doing custom machine design based off customer specification
- SolidWorks experience
- 5 years of experience in machine design
- Experience in practical application of engineering principles, procedures, materials, and equipment to design projects.
NICE TO HAVES:
- PDM and AutoCad Vault experience would be a plus
- Project management experience would be a plus
