Description:
Proficiency with SolidWorks and SolidWorks Simulations
Experience with designing electro-mechanical parts, subassemblies and moving mechanisms utilizing gears, racks, bearings, motors, cylinders, vacuum, actuators
Familiarity with automation, robotics, thermal concerns, machining & manufacturing, metals, coatings, plastics, sealing, wear on materials and aging
Well-versed in thermal dynamics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), thermal/mechanical finite element analysis (FEA), mean time between failure (MTBF) and failure modes and effect analysis (FMEA)

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- Practical experience with engineering documentation procedures; concept layouts, detail drawings, fabrication specifications, bills of materials, engineering change orders
- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, analytical methods, good engineering practices, and standards such as geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
- Experienced with new product introduction
- Understanding of design from a systems engineering perspective
- Prior experience working in the electronics or semiconductor industry is preferred
