Mechanical Engineer

Description:

• Produce detailed engineering designs, technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models aligning with project requirements and client expectations.
• Lead the creation, refinement, and finalization of designs HVAC ducting, chillers, boilers, exhaust systems, plumbing and potentially other mechanical building systems with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.
• Design, analyze, & calculate heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to maintain precise environmental conditions that include specific materials, specifications, and/or implement measures to control factors like temperature, humidity, air filtration, particle levels, etc., ensuring compliance with ASHRAE standards.
• Apply established engineering techniques, exercising judgment to adapt and modify design concepts while ensuring compliance with company and team CAD standards for quality control.
• Collaborate closely with design teams, Engineers, Project Managers, and stakeholders to address specific objectives, complex features, and propose viable solutions to unique challenges.
• Facilitate seamless coordination among various design disciplines (Electrical, Structural, Architectural, etc.) to fulfill design package requirements.
• Conduct field verifications and site assessments to identify, verify, resolve, and integrate solutions into design packages, troubleshooting design issues during construction as necessary.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree from an ABET-accredited school in Mechanical Engineering or technically related discipline.
• Experience working with AutoCAD is required. Experience with Revit, Navisworks, PIPE-FLO or similar hydraulic modeling software is a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge or experience with designs containing HVAC, chillers, boilers, pump hydraulics, exhaust, process chemicals, wastewater discharge, or other similar mechanical building systems.
