Mechanical Engineer

Description:

Mechanical engineer to support Advanced Radars test capability development through the development of the Automated Test Stations. The engineer will be required to develop the mechanical designs through deriving requirements from LRU Technical Data Packages and from test set system requirements. The engineer will be required to take system interfaces, system wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics to develop the mechanical hardware design of the test station. The engineer will be required to develop drawings, maintain the drawings, incorporate updates, and integrate components to build the test sets. The design team will collaborate in Cameo systems modeler. The engineer will be required to independently utilize the Cameo systems modeler to design systems and subsystems. The engineer will be required to model and draft drawings in Solid Edge.

Must Haves

1. Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience

2. Strong 3D Modeling Experience- Solidedge preferred- would consider Pro E, CATIA, Solidworks, etc

3. Sub Assembly drawings- Mechanical components

4. New Product Development- Support Mechanical design through test/validation stages

5. Motor Design, Gear Design, Thermal Modeling and assessments of mechanical stresses (Vibration, Loading, Thermal, Etc)

6. Ansys Mechanical/Fluent/Ice Pak and Cadence Celsius

Plus

1. DOD or relevant Radar Technology design experience
