This is a 9 month contract to hire.
Summary: Seeking Mechanical Engineers to work for a growing UUV manufacturer.
Description:
• Mechanical design with a fundamental understanding of the product development life cycle.
• Fundamental understanding of industry accepted design methods and practices, including design spaces/tradeoffs, test data analysis, and requirement/specification change processes.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve issues during design, development and execution of mechanical engineering activities.
• Experience using SolidWorks and Ansys
• Ability to update and review mechanical drawings for proper geometric dimension tolerancing (GD&T), accuracy, and completeness.
• Exposure to FEA & CFD
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline required, Master's degree is a plus
-0-1 years of professional experience
- Experience in GD&T
- FEA, using Ansys preferred
- Proficient use of SolidWorks
- Prior experience with DoD or with U.S. government customers is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the design and development of autonomous surface and underwater systems is preferred
- Must be eligible for secret clearance

Salary : $80,000 - $115,000
