Description:
Looking to add two engineers to the Spray Dryer department and this person will be in charge of working with customers on product line and design project cradle to grave. The Design Engineer will work individually and in a team environment developing and utilizing skills in the areas of mechanical, electrical, automation, food science, and construction engineering and will assist in all phases of the project including equipment sizing, scope and proposal generation, order entry, coordination with purchasing, CAD, engineering and fabrication, BOM maintenance, start-up, commissioning, service and warranty. The successful applicant must be willing to work beyond core hours, and weekends (when required); and occasionally travel within and outside the United States to support project activities. This position is full time with health insurance, 401K and vacation benefits. QUALIFICATIONS: . Familiarity with spray drying processes. . B.S. Engineering or related degree preferred; vocational or equivalent technical education and or experience required for technical elements. . Ability to problem solve and make decisions without close supervision. Must be self-motivated, accurate, efficient and capable of responding to customer needs. Proven ability to work both independently and cooperatively. Ability to take ownership, maintain self-control under pressure and complete tasks with frequent interruptions. . Strong math skills and the ability to understand new concepts quickly. . Great written and oral communication skills . Excellent customer service and interaction . Proficiency in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Inventor important or ability to quickly assimilate skills from other parametric modeling software programs . Skills with Microsoft Office suite v2010 or higher is required . Previous experience in some facet of food production plant employment – a plus . Ability to understand and develop process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) – a plus . Familiarity with industrial trades – electrical, mechanical, structural, general construction, automation, piping, sanitary regulations, process theory, and operational procedures – a plus

Must haves: -Have 1 year experience designing in a 3D package Inventor (preferred); Solidworks This can be obtained from schooling or on the job -Have 1 year experience designing in Autocad; This can be obtained from schooling or on the job -Four year college degree in Engineering Nice to haves: Background designing Food / dairy process systems The primary qualification is proficiency with the 3D capabilities of AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Inventor or the ability to quickly assimilate skills from other parametric modeling software programs to AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Inventor. -Ability to problem solve and make decisions without close supervision. Must be self-motivated, accurate and efficient. Proven ability to work both independently and cooperatively. Ability to take ownership, maintain selfcontrol under pressure and complete tasks with frequent interruptions. -Strong math skills and the ability to understand new concepts quickly. -Excellent organization, multi-tasking, self-motivation, attention to detail, and discipline -Excellent customer service and interaction -Skills with Microsoft Office suite v2010 or higher is required -Knowledge of ERP software and Bill of Material creation and maintenance – a plus -Previous experience in some facet of food production plant employment – a plus -Familiarity with industrial trades – electrical, mechanical, structural, general construction, automation, piping, sanitary regulations, process theory, and operational procedures – a plus
