Mechanical Engineer

Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work primarily remotely for a one year contract; this will require travel to the plant about once per quarter.

Position Description

 Support mechanical and equipment engineering deliverables on build projects

 Oversee technical issues between project teams and other groups (i.e. engineering service providers (ESPs), construction, etc.)

 Ensure compliance of our client's mechanical and equipment engineering standards, policies, and procedures

 Contribute to safety and engineering recommendations to enhance performance, cost, efficiency, and schedule

 Support multiple capital projects at once

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

 Minimum of seven years of related work experience

 Prior Work Experience with Petro/Chem Process or Power Generation Facilities

 Experience with complex and multi-disciplinary engineering projects

 Professional Engineering License is preferable.

 Experience with Process Industry Practices (PIP)

 Experience with ASME and API Codes/Standards

 Experience with developing specifications, datasheets, and bid packages for equipment

 Experience with rotating equipment under pressure

 Experience with static and heat transfer equipment

 Ability to work in a remote environment with virtual teams
