What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineer position at Actalent?
Description:
-Performing all aspects of mechanical engineering design as a lead engineer, including Conceptual Studies, Program Requirements, Design Analyses, Calculations, Equipment selection and layout, and System selection and layout for building design and mechanical systems
-Obtain guidance from senior engineers and the Department Head as necessary to resolve technical and coordination issues and conflicting criteria
-Providing and supervising mechanical support services during the bidding process, i.e., preparing addenda and amendments as required
-Performing and supervising mechanical construction phase services including representing the firm on-site, answering RFI’s, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing record drawings.
-Working with, responding to, and taking direction from Project Managers, Managing Principals, Design Principals, Department Directors, Department Head, and senior management
-Working in a lot of areas that have involved process flows, mass flow balance, dust collection, combustible dust, chemicals that are combustible
-May have worked with big switch gear or motor controls centers
-Incorporate responses to QC comments into the project documents
