Description:
Medical Assistant responsibilities include check-in, obtaining patient information (height, weight, medical questionnaire), recording vitals such as blood pressure, and assisting the physician. Must be able to perform BMO work as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms
- Obtain and document patient vitals and medical history
- Must be able to operate X-Ray's on patients as needed.
- Assist healthcare providers with in-office procedures
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and medical supplies
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments as needed
- Maintain patient medical records and update patient information as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-Current Florida State license - BMO or ARRT Certification
-Preferred to be a certified/registered Medical Assistant in state of Florida
-Desire to work as MA
-Positive attitude and compassion towards patients.
-Professional and strong communication
-Must be confident in ability to work with demanding providers and patient load
