Hiring a Medical Assistant for a Float Position between San Mateo, Burlingame, and Daly City
Description:
This is a medical assisting role with a pediatrics clinic. The medical assistant will room patients, take vitals, helping with care testing (like urine dips, hemoglobin or strep tests) support the providers with minor procedures, help with moving patients or restraining patients as necessary. The medical assistant is primarily back office and will be working in EPIC to respond to messages for the doctor, as well as schedule follow-up appointments.

Monday to Friday
Rotating Weekends
8AM - 5PM OR 8:30AM - 5:30PM
40 hour work week
Additional Qualifications:
Medical Assisting Certificate of Completion from an accredited program (California State certification not required for contract assignments)
Basic Medical Assisting skills such as rooming patients, medical record documentation, taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, computer skills (patient scheduling software and EHR), CPR/Basic Life Support, knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations, knowledge of universal precautions and medication administration.
