What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Actalent?
- The medical assistant will room patients, take vitals, helping with care testing (like urine dips, hemoglobin or strep tests) support the providers with minor procedures, help with moving patients.
- The medical assistant is primarily back office and will be working in EPIC to respond to messages for the doctor, as well as schedule follow-up appointments.
Requirements
- Medical Assisting Certificate of Completion from an accredited program (California State certification not required for contract assignments)
- Basic Medical Assisting skills such as rooming patients, medical record documentation, taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, computer skills (patient scheduling software and EHR), CPR/Basic Life Support, knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations, knowledge of universal precautions and medication administration
- Minimum 1 year experience
Schedule
M-F varied start times from 7am-8am, 8 hour shift, weekend flexibility to rotate
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
